July 22, 2017 just so happened to be one of the hottest days of the year and this gorgeous bride pushed through it like a trooper in her STUNNING satin ballgown. The forecast called for rain all day long but we had high hopes that it would clear up just when we needed it to. Melissa & Alex held their traditional catholic ceremony at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio. Our original plan was to knock out the bulk of bridal party and formals outside of the church on the amazing staircase – however with the heat being so intense we decided to get to those later on at the reception venue. Immediately following the ceremony and a few bridal party shots – they loaded up in the limousine and set off for Aladdin Shrine Center. As soon as we arrived a torrential downpour ensued. As Melissa cooled off in her bridal suite we started on the guys who had no problem hanging out at the bar inside of the venue. About 5 minutes into the groomsmen portraits the skies cleared up and the sun came out. Perfect timing. After dinner a romantic first dance and eventful shoe game is just what they needed to get the party started.
