Winter Wonderland Wedding dreams

Scioto Reserve Country Club is a great venue choice for a couples wanting a sophisticated romantic vibe for their wedding day. Carly and Drew chose to host their wedding at the country club in a month that isn’t always first choice – December! Their reason being that they wanted snow. Not just your typical frosted grounds, but falling from the skies, soft, romantic, and fluffy snow. Drew and Carly were by far one of the most determined couples I worked with in 2017. They told me they didn’t care how cold or windy it was they needed snowy portraits. Despite the intense wind gusts and near-negative temperatures, they didn’t complain even once.

Carly came prepared with Ugg boots and leggings underneath her GORGEOUS Hayley Paige gown found at Matina’s Bridal in Cleveland, Ohio. Her Uggs, of course, were later swapped out for some stunning Badgley Mischka heels complete with a lucky coin taped to the insole.

Sharing a First Look at Scioto Reserve Country Club

Carly and Drew chose to share their first look right outside of Scioto Reserve Country Club surrounded by snow-capped trees and piles of fresh snow. We kept Carly wrapped up in blankets while she waited for Drew to make his way outside. With the sun setting earlier in the wintertime time we almost always recommend doing a first look and getting portraits out of the way before the ceremony!

Scioto Reserve Country Club’s floor to ceiling windows gave guests a magnificent view of the snowy grounds while staying toast warm. As the natural light spilled in, it truly was a stunning sight at every angle. Carly and Drew didn’t have to do much to bring the space to fruition. With soft overhead lighting, an aisle lined with Chiavari chairs, and twinkle lights draped from the ceiling their indoor ceremony space was complete.
