Wedding pictures at The Steam Plant

What does it look like to have a wedding at The Steam Plant in Dayton, Ohio? Close your eyes and envision concrete floors, exposed brick walls extending two stories up, beams jutting out of the ceiling, and an open balcony giving you a glimpse into the space’s private and exclusive second floor. Black-paned windows hugged between the brick, letting the light pour in. As the bright natural light dances with the dark features of the space, drama encompasses you.

Once a 1900s power-generating plant, the Steam Plant has been converted into an open-concept wedding and event space, scratching the itch of industrial-obsessed bride and grooms-to-be everywhere. Couples are choosing this space to host their wedding for a plethora of reasons, possibly because it’s:

  • An industrial wedding venue close to central Ohio
  • Only an 11-mile drive to the Dayton International Airport
  • Equipped to hold 200+ wedding guests
  • Conscious of the need for a dedicated indoor and outdoor wedding space

The couple with an industrial vision

Enter Sydney and Justin, the dynamic duo who celebrated their love for bare boned architecture (and each other, of course) while selecting locations for their wedding and engagement portraits. Keeping the industrial vibe consistent for their portraits in two different cities was important, and they did so using both indoor and outdoor methods. Here you will find some of our favorite portraits from Sydney and Justin’s March 2024 wedding at The Steam Plant.
