Julia & Logan
06/04/2021
If you’re searching for a wedding venue with windows for days, exposed brick, and an industrial feel, look no further than Windows on the River in Cleveland, Ohio. This stunning venue is located directly above the Cleveland Aquarium in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. But before we *dive* into this Bride and Groom’s lively reception, we must start at the beginning! Julia and Logan did not skip a beat when it came to choosing beautiful locations to visit on their big day. Not only did they host their wedding reception at Windows on the River, but they also chose the Westin Cleveland Downtown hotel for their getting ready location and the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for their traditional ceremony.
Westin Cleveland Downtown
Each window was strategically placed to give guests the most amazing views of downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie. Not only were the windows mapped out perfectly, but they were also HUGE! Because of that, the amount of light pouring into the rooms was jaw-dropping.
The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist
After Julia shared a tearful first look with her father, the girls hopped aboard their Statement Limo and took off for the church. The soaring ceilings of St. John Cathedral and long cobblestone aisle really set the tone for this traditional catholic ceremony.
Voinovich Park
After a cheerful grand exit from the cathedral, we stopped at not one, not two, but THREE equally amazing destinations for portraits. I mean, can you even say you got married in Cleveland without taking photos with your bridal party at the life-size Cleveland signs?
Cleveland Museum of Art & Wade Lagoon
The next stop on our itinerary was the Cleveland Museum of Art and Wade Lagoon. Believe it or not, all of these wedding photo locations were within a few miles of one another. Because of this, we were able to hit every photo stop Julia & Logan loved without stressing about time. If that’s not another great reason to have your wedding in Cleveland, I don’t know what is!
Mossy Bridge
Our final stop for portraits before heading to Julia & Logan’s wedding reception was this glorious moss-covered bridge. This hidden gem was within walking distance of Windows on the River! As a result, we decided to stay until the very last millisecond. I mean, can you blame us?
Windows on the River
Alas, the finale to this Bride & Groom’s evening had arrived! Side note: Julia’s mother-in-law made all of the signs for their reception!
Sunset on the pier
As guests finished their delicious plated dinners, we took Julia & Logan out for sunset portraits on the pier.
Dancing the night away
In short, Julia and Logan had the best day. Everything ran according to plan, the weather was perfect, and guests enjoyed themselves all night long. But above all, Julia and Logan are finally married!
