The past couple of weeks have been interesting, to say the least. The stay at home order is in full effect and we haven’t left the house in days. Being cooped up has ignited a level of energy in our children that could power a small country. Today we decided they needed a creative outlet to help them express everything they’ve been feeling. We shoved the kitchen table out of the way and kicked all of the legos aside. We got the paints down from the top of the fridge and popped them open. My husband told me I was crazy because the paint would end up everywhere. He was only partially correct. The blank canvas was then taped to the wall and ready to be decorated.

I told the kids that it didn’t have to be perfect and to just paint what they were feeling.
